Ok, so, a few things I’ve learned since moving out:

1) Washer and dryers don’t necessarily work the way their supposed to. I mean, shit, you’re supposed to just put in wet clothes in the dryer and then dry clothes are supposed to come out, right? What am I doing wrong?!

2) Defrosting a bagel in the microwave for too long results in a bagel-sized piece of leather. I’m still stubbornly chewing the damn thing.

3) Moving out is a sign of independence, yet I am dependent upon the help of others when moving big-ass pieces of furniture.

4) I have a huge CD collection.

5) Food has never before tasted so good. Paying for the stuff does wonders for its taste.

6) I’m cold, hungry, and there are wolves chasing me…oh, wait. Nope. I may be lonely, but wolves can’t get into the building without a key, I can turn the heat up whenever I want to whatever I want, and I can eat whenever it strikes my fancy.

7) The Blaster worm that’s making its rounds on the internet is a huge pain in the ass. I had my cable modem set up for all of three minutes before my newly established IP address was fux0red by the bloody thing.

8) *censored*

9) Furthering the aforementioned point: I’m good with my hands! Put together a few units from Ikea, with help and without, with no trouble in no time.

10) My girlfriend is very generous with her time and assistance, and my place wouldn’t look nearly as good as what it does without her. Thanks, love!

Should anyone choose to put two and two together while reading this post, I insist that, to protect the innocent, you come up with five. :)
