Airborne
by Chris on Jun.21, 2004, under Events, General Thoughts and Media
As of 10:11 AM Eastern Time, SpaceShipOne is airborne as the first non-governmental space shot.
May this bring in an era of private and public flight to the stars for the average joe.
To me, at least, this is probably one of the best news events of the last year or more. One small step for Man…

Update
As of this writing, the SpaceShipOne has landed safely. Next stop, re-use and re-launch.
It’s a big one, folks. This is a big, big event.

Private or public flights? You can already do that, provided you have $20 million. I wouldn’t count on being able to go for a relatively cheap cost anytime in our lifetimes. Although I’d like to. Don’t get me wrong; I’d love to go. I just don’t think it will be financially feasible for quite some time.

I’ll tell you what was a big fucking huge nut lickin’ event!
The ending of ‘the sixth sense’! I mean really! He was a
fucking ghost the whole time! IMAGINE THAT! HE WAS A FUCKING
GHOST THE ENTIRE TIME! JUST HIM AND THAT KID! Now… tell me that
that doesn’t put this little space adventure to shame. I’m sure
that one day you’ll be able to live out your fantasies of battling
Klingons out in the galaxy but not today… not on my watch.

lol if you’re that upset about ‘the sixth sense’, have you endured ‘contact’?
June 24th, 2004 on 10:31 am
You know, I’m going to have to kick someone’s ass about that one. Contact was an excellent movie, doing a reasonable job of capturing the feel of the novel, although as with all such movies falling short by nature.
What was it, then, that you didn’t like, asylus ?
June 24th, 2004 on 8:46 pm
whatever Assylus, {note the extra s! hahaha!}, didn’t like is
irrelevant. Contact was one of the greatest movies I have ever
seen! Imagine! A park full of dinosaurs! Then the power goes
out and they all get loose and start eating everybody!
FUCKING INCREDIBLE, I ALMOST SHIT MY PANTS! I’ll have to check
out the book if you say it’s gooooooood.
June 29th, 2004 on 11:34 am
You know, k rogers, there are 2 other movies with exactly the same plot; you should check them out, too! And they’re making another one!

You should also see The Core and Reign of Fire.
